Xceive Names Seifert to Chief Financial Officer Post

Santa Clara, California, United States

Xceive Corporation, developer of the world's first fully integrated, multi-standard RF-to-baseband transceiver ICs for TVs, PC TVs and set-top boxes, today announced the appointment of Michael E. Seifert as chief financial officer.

Seifert brings over 25 years of success as a finance professional and executive in the high-technology industry. Since 1991, he has led private and public equity, debt and merger transactions totaling approximately $1.6 billion. Seifert has been involved with Xceive as the interim CFO since February 2006. Now in his full-time role as CFO, he will be responsible for managing all finance activities in support of Xceive's growth in the silicon tuners market for TVs, PC TVs and set-top boxes.

"I am pleased to have Michael join our team on a full-time basis. His breadth of experience gained as a financial executive is invaluable," said Jean-Louis Bories, CEO of Xceive. "Moving forward, he will play an instrumental role in supporting Xceive's continued success in providing the world's quickest, smallest and most highly integrated multi-standard silicon tuners in the industry."

Prior to Xceive, Seifert held the position of CFO at Virage Logic and earlier at Southwall Technologies Inc. Before joining Southwall, he was CFO of Sitesmith Inc. and was instrumental in its sale to Metromedia Fiber Networks for $1.4 billion in October 2000. Seifert has held other senior financial management positions in the high-technology industry, including CFO of SmartDB Corporation, CFO of Wayfarer Communications (sold to Vantive, now Oracle), vice president of finance at Compression Labs, Inc. (sold to VTEL Corporation), and corporate controller at PMC-Sierra. Seifert also spent 10 years at Ernst & Young, where he became a senior manager and principal in the firm's San Jose, California office.

Seifert graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a B.S. degree in Commerce, majoring in Accounting. A Certified Public Accountant, he also serves on the boards of directors of Applied Wave Research and Wait-on-Me.
