Sterigenics International, the world's leading provider of contract sterilization services for the medical device industry, has completed the expansion of its Ethylene Oxide (EO) processing facility in Anse, France.

Identical technology is available at the company's Wiesbaden, Germany, facility which opened in July 2005.
The state-of-the-art Anse expansion provides space for two 32 euro-pallet EO sterilizers with 2.4 meters height. The super-size units are designed to coordinate with truck capacity, thereby maximizing production lot sizes and reducing costs. High-performance pallet-handling capability further optimizes process time and control.
The first of Anse's 32-pallet sterilizers is fully operational and capable of running enhanced EO cycles with parametric release. "We are extremely enthusiastic about reaching this milestone," Mr. Beelen affirmed. "It means we are not only positioned to meet increasing demand--we are also able to deliver to our Anse customers the considerable benefits of Sterigenics' proprietary processing technology."
In addition, the Anse facility delivers advanced environmental management controls designed to eliminate all EO emissions from the plant.
