(PRWEB) May 6, 2006 -- A simple Google search for "Disney Manilva Spain" will show various stories on this including the fact that Disney has already acquired a large area of land in the area. Either way, this is good news for investors coming to Spain.
The rumours have been around for a while but have recently been fuelled as the entire area around Manilva, Duquesa and Estepona have been seriously upgraded and revamped.
Current developments in the area around Estepona include plans for the coasts largest shopping center, a new hospital and a University. There is already a huge new road infrastructure being built as well as 3 or 4 new golf courses and a high speed railway system from Malaga right along the coast to Cadiz…primed for Disney's arrival?
So what could this mean for the property investor?
The Costa del Sol has always been a favourite for Brits and other Northern Europeans with its long sandy beaches, numerous golf courses and 300 + days of sunshine a year. Now with air fares at an all time low, it is easily accessible for everyone.
With the construction of the new university alone, the rental potential in the area will be increased dramatically. Once things are underway with Disney, assuming they get the go ahead, property sales and rental prices could once again start to climb rapidly.
Property prices at the moment have stabilised along the entire coast meaning there are some bargains to be had which could lead to excellent long term investments in the area surrounding Estepona.
In particular, 3 and 4 bed apartments would be worth a serious look for good, long term rental potential. The university students would need long term living arrangements and the proposed Disney site would bring families in their droves whichever "plan" Disney decided to go with.
So why are we selling our apartment during this time?
Since the arrival of our two young children, we have argued and argued over the past 2 years about where to "raise" them. In the end the UK won over Spain due to the fact that our families are there and rarely see them at the moment. It is truly a gut-wrenching time as we have been in Spain for 8 years and built a good, solid business here.
Our apartment is a 4 bed penthouse duplex 2 minutes walk from the sea on a Golf and Country Club. It is about 3km from the towns of Estepona and Manilva and about 10km from the proposed site for Disney.
It has 4 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 5 terraces, aircon, a fully fitted kitchen, satellite TV, ADSL, and good soundproofing. The urbanisation has 5 swimming pools, a beach bar, security, off road parking and beautiful gardens.
The on-site country club has some amazing facilities including an indoor swimming pool, jacuzzis, a 3-hole practice golf course, driving range and putting/chipping greens as well as a gym, Turkish baths, saunas and treatment rooms.
The asking price is €375,000, about €35,000 less than the listed price and we are also offering a cash commission of €5,000 to anyone who refers a buyer!
You can see more details using the link below but as a long term investment it is likely that properties like this could well be increasing in both terms of re-saleable value and rental possibilities over the next few years.

We have thoroughly enjoyed our time in Spain and will miss it badly and feel that we maybe selling at the wrong time, but if you have children and a large family you will understand how difficult our decision has been.
