Virgin Money Makes The World's First Cool Financial Services Video Game

London, UK (PRWEB) May 4, 2006 -- Virgin Money has teamed up with MG OMD, Tweed London and Skive Creative to create an online game that enables frustrated customers to get their own back on their bank.

The game, Anger Management (www.loseyouranger.com), allows customers to take a wrecking ball to the bank of their choice, with devastating consequences. At the end of the game, players are given a further opportunity to get revenge on their bank: by becoming a Virgin Money customer. The project was made possible due to the strategic input of OMD Fuse, the content arm of media company MG OMD.

In a world first, the game also features a soundtrack provided by some of Britain's best unsigned bands. The bands: Envy And Other Sins, The Little Kicks and Plastic Toys were selected from a wide range of talented groups.

Chris Delahunty, Digital Marketing Manager at Virgin Money, said, "Customers need never be frustrated with their bank again. They can unleash their fury with our new wrecking ball game. The feeling you get when the wrecking ball smashes the sign off the wall is superb. It's what you would expect from Virgin Money, financial services with a smile on its face and very tongue in cheek. Playability and satisfaction were key, and Tweed and Skive delivered the goods."

Michael Wood, founder of in-game advertising specialists Tweed London, said, "Advertising through games can be done in a variety of ways, but its always a pleasure to play a part in creating a game that is breaking new ground. Virgin Money has been quick to spot the potential of video games and their appeal to consumers."
