"Real Estate Software Developers Day" - First Ever Major Event Designed for the New Real Estate Technologist

Emeryville, CA (PRWEB) May 4, 2006 -- "Real Estate Software Developers Day" will be the first major event ever designed specifically for the new real estate technologist. Held in San Francisco at the Palace Hotel on July 26 as part of Real Estate Connect 2006, this dawn-to-dusk pre-conference will be by developers and for developers of real estate software.

Developers Day will feature a working lunch with Rob Malda (a.k.a. Cmdr Taco), open source guru and Founder of technology discussion forum, Slashdot. Steve Lombardi, Virtual Earth Program Manager for Microsoft will be another highlighted speaker at Developers Day. Additional speakers from companies including MapQuest, Google, Yahoo!, RedFin, and the CRT (Center for Realtor® Technology) are also slated for Developers Day.

"Developers Day will be unstintingly technical, and will focus attention on where real estate developers' needs are greatest," says Mike Edelhart, CEO of Inman News. "It will flow directly into the full Real Estate Connect Conference, with additional special sessions and technology tracks over the next two days."

Developers Day sessions will address topics critical to software professionals including:

• Mapping: The ultimate interface for real estate
• Trends: What's driving real estate software development
• The Human Factor: Getting them to use what we build
• Standards in real estate technology, and who should set them
• Developer Intensives, including mapping, search and document management, video integration, transaction management and analytics
• Collaborative roundtables on key development topics

At 6 PM, Developers Day attendees will join their colleagues from the Inman Real Estate Connect Conference for Cocktails@Connect, real estate's premier networking event.
