In 2001 lily started the online aromatherapy company Mama Incense with the goal of earning enough money to self-publish her first book. In late 2004 lily went a step further and formed Mama Incense Publishing and published her first collection of poetry entitled "girl Child (The Transition – In Poetic Form)". Lily continues to write and assist other writers by publishing inspirational articles and hosting workshops that pass along useful book industry information and tips to fellow aspiring authors. "It is very important to have a dream, to transform that dream into a goal and then take the steps to make that goal a reality in spite of the roadblocks that get in the way. I hope that my story of growth and triumph as told in "girl Child" will help others who feel out of place to see that they are not alone. Being different and unique are not necessarily bad things. Even if people view my life as a cautionary tale and yet learn from the mistakes that I have made, I'm okay with that." Upcoming Events
