Celebrities Join Habbo in Celebrating "Habbowood" 2006

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 3, 2006 -- Cut! HABBO.com, one of the world's largest and hottest on-line destinations for teenagers, is celebrating the last day today of the ultimate film making and promoting contest of 2006: "Habbowood." Desperate Housewives' Shawn Pyfrom will join Habbos today in the "Teen People Terrace" at 3:30pm for an interview about his current projects and his role on the hit show.

Other celebrities and entertainment pro's who joined Habbo's during "Habbowood" include pro-surfing star Anastasia Ashley, teen Days of Our Lives stars Ashley Benson and Christopher Gerse, and chart topping bands Hawthorne Heights, Avenged Sevenfold and Rihanna.

Habbowood ran from April 10th through today, and was the sequel to the first Habbowood, which inspired teens from around the world to direct their own movies. In "Habbowood," the basic idea is that the participant gets to be a movie director and a promoter at the same time – just like in its real-life equivalent Hollywood. The task list was simple:

- Create your own movie script, cast the actors and direct the film using Habbo Hotel's enhanced movie making tools
- Promote your movie in Habbo Hotel (and elsewhere) and get your fans to vote for your movie
- Win fame and glory as well as cool prizes!

The campaign slogan which suggests: "Do you have what it takes?" shows that promoting can also be hard work. The films with the most votes will receive fame and glory within Habbo Hotel, along with the chance to win $1,000.00, and loads of other exciting Habbo prizes. The winners will be announced in a Habbo Hotel gala event this afternoon at www.habbo.com.

Teens interested in participating in Shawn Pyfrom's interview, or taking part in the Habbowood gala event should visit www.habbo.com.
