Beyond Bookmarks Donates Graduation Gifts for Chicago Area Teens

(PRWEB) May 25, 2006 -- Through a serendipitous partnership with The Boys & Girls Club of Chicago, Beyond Bookmarks will donate graduation gifts to 100 high school graduates. In February of 2006 the online gift company was researching organizations in which to get involved when The Boys & Girls Club of Chicago contacted them to request a discount on graduation gifts for their Senior Celebration in May. President, Christy Moore says, "it was perfect timing. We are approached daily with donation requests from all over the country. Our gift packages work well for silent auctions and raffles and we enjoy helping various organizations in a small way. But we were looking for a more focused way to contribute to our community. We wanted to identify an organization with which we could connect and make a larger contribution over time. That's when we got a call from The Boys & Girls Club."

The organization was exactly what this education driven gift company was looking for. The majority of Beyond Bookmarks' gifts are for kids, teens, and young adults - from kindergarten through college graduation. The same age group supported by The Boys & Girls Club. Beyond Bookmarks' gift packs include fun tools and treats geared toward the recipient's lifestyle with a focus on positive messages and education. The Boys & Girls Club slogan "The Positive Place for Kids" and their focus on education resonated with the owners of Beyond Bookmarks. "We felt compelled to contribute to this organization, and more specifically to this event honoring 100 high school graduates," says owner Carol Moore.

Each graduate will receive THE FRESHMAN SURVIVAL KIT. This gift includes fun essentials for the first year of college, including "The Real Freshman Handbook, A Totally Honest Guide To Life On Campus," shower shoes, a book light, fun dorm room supplies, a handy To Do Pad for organizing college life, a stress toy, mini first aid kit, and much more. Beyond Bookmarks is very grateful to the Boys & Girls Club of Chicago. "We feel honored to be a part of their graduation event and we're indebted to them for introducing us to the organization as a whole. We're looking forward to establishing a close connection with our local Boys & Girls Club in San Antonio, Texas," says owner Carol Moore.

Beyond Bookmarks is a recipient of the Five Star Reviews Editor's Pick Award. The internet based gift company was established in March of 2003 by sisters Kay Davey and Carol Moore. Family owned and operated, Beyond Bookmarks creates innovative care packages with a personal touch. Care packages for college students, teens, kids, senior citizens, pets, and the military can be ordered by calling 866-746-5133 or online at http://www.beyondbookmarks.com. Getting is fun.
