Boston (PRWEB) May 22, 2006 -- Royka's Auctioneers & Appraisers will auction rare historical items on Sunday, May 28 at 3pm in Lexington, Massachusetts. Featured in the sale is a gold gilt carved wooden eagle from the East Room of the White House that was removed during the 1902 restoration.

A group of documents signed by John Hancock as President of the Continental Congress appointing Captain Thomas Thompson the Captain of the ship Raleigh in Portsmouth, N.H. From the estate of Alexander Bullock, who was the Mayor of Worcester, MA and the Governor of Massachusetts in 1866 are two extremely rare pencils made by Henry David Thoreau and a pen holder made from a rail split by Abraham Lincoln.
