"When I was a young teen, I attempted suicide. I did not think that life here on earth was worth living or that I was worth anything. I had just learned that my parents were getting divorced and my Mom was moving out. To compound matters, I came home from school the next day to find that my dog had gotten his chain caught on the fence, and had choked to death. That was the point when I felt all hope was gone, and I swallowed a bottle of pills".
Thankfully, God spared CC's life, and though she went through several years of trials, mistakes, bad choices and rough living, CC eventually ran into the arms of a loving Savior. After bearing a child out of wedlock, escaping from a dangerously violent relationship, and years of substance abuse, her life took a dramatic turn for the better. Today, CC Jones is a mother of four, has a wonderful husband, a healthy 10-year marriage, and is embarking on a new music ministry to reach people with her inspiring message of encouragement.
"At one point a few years ago, I had given up on my dream of a music ministry much like I had given up on myself earlier in life. I thought it was too late, that I had missed my window of opportunity. God is so amazing, so faithful and generous. He is granting me the desires of my heart and blessing me in ways I never imagined. If He can do it for me, He can most assuredly do it for others… that's part of the message I want to spread."
