Cause Marketing Program in San Diego Continues to Grow and Increase Donations for Local Nonprofits

San Diego, CA (PRWEB) May 2, 2006 -- Since the launch of the Brandit for a Cause program in February 2006, Runaway Brandit, Inc. has joined forces with Fresh Start Surgical Gifts in effort to help the local nonprofit increase their donations and exposure within the San Diego business community. With the addition of Fresh Start, the program now assists three San Diego based nonprofits with their marketing and fundraising efforts. The other two organizations are Adventure Scholars Scholarship Fund and Family Matters. The plan is to add at least 7 more organizations and expand to program to surrounding counties by the end of the year.

It is important that the organizations have nonprofit status and offer advertising opportunities for local business owners. The ideal organization would be one that is not very large but currently has a marketing and fundraising program in place. We have done several things to make the program easily integrate with their current program. The Brandit for a Cause program allows business owners to donate 5% of their project fees to a local nonprofit and in exchange they will receive a charitable donation and a cause marketing package from that organization. The program gives the business owner the ability to build their brand through traditional and cause marketing methods and provides two tax benefits, one for business expenses and one for the charitable donation.
