The show is held at Farnborough Airfield in the U.K. every other year, alternating with the equally prestigious Paris Air Show.
Farnborough International is a commercial air show, with an emphasis on military technologies. In 2004 there were more than 1,300 exhibitors and 150,000 trade visitors. In addition to commercial and military interests, the show is open to the general public July 22 and 23.
In addition to exhibition hall displays, visitors will be able view aircraft on the ground "up close and personal" in Farnborough's Aircraft Park. Farnborough exhibitors and visitors also will be treated to daily flying displays that showcase today's most advanced commercial and military aircraft.
