division of Satellite Broadcasting Network, a European satellite radio

The pride of Florida, Rick Monroe truly embodies the Country Music
Artist tradition of working to live audiences whenever and wherever
possible. He's recorded and released two previous albums on Divorce
Records, and has experienced first hand the grind of extensive worldwide
touring. Monroe's first album, "Legend's Diner" featured many notable
players on it such as Lance Morrison (Don Henley) and Matt Laug (Alanis
Morisette) and ended up charting two singles from that album. His second
album, "Shame", also featured prominent musicians including members of
the legendary Texas Tornadoes blending roots rock, country and Texas
soul. That album also produced another single ("Can I Call You Home")
that reached the charts.
Monroe has an extensive touring history both domestically and
internationally with an impressive list of countries performed in. He
has played: Russia, Bosnia, Kosovo Macedonia, Hungary, Honduras,
Ecuador, Puerto Rico, Cuba, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Bahamas, Germany and
England in addition to the United States. With an invitation from Pete
Peterson, US Ambassador to Vietnam at the US / Vietnam Embassy, Monroe
performed at the week-long 4th of July celebrations in Hanoi and Ho Chi
Mihn City. Monroe was honored to sing the US National anthem for the
5-year anniversary for the re-opening of diplomatic relations between
the countries. It was the first time the anthem had been sung in Vietnam
at a public event in 25 years. Monroe followed that up with a Command
Performance for the former President of the Soviet Union Mikhail
Gorbachev on the USS Sequoia Presidential Yacht, Washington, DC. This
performance lead to a trip to Russia where Monroe performed for the
children at several orphanages and was a featured performer on REN TV's
Bulat Okudzhava Festival in Moscow, Russia. Domestically Rick has played
hundred of shows across the US, including support dates for Montgomery
Gentry, Patty Loveless, Trick Pony, Emerson Drive, Billy Joe Shaver,
Texas Tornados, The Marshall Tucker Band and others. He has also played
many radio shows, and local TV appearances across the country.
Undiscovered Artists! is an unprecedented opportunity for unsigned and
independent label artists to get the exposure, airplay, and the fan base
that they need worldwide. Mr. Monroe is thrilled to be added to the
Undiscovered Artist! roster; as well as having the opportunity to make
new fans, and to be part of this new and exciting unprecedented music
outlet for indie artists.
Satellite Broadcasting Network is the Internet and soon-to-be satellite
radio service for Europe and then Asia. SBN is comparable to XM or
Sirius satellite radios in America, however, satellite radio service has
never existed outside of America until now.
SBN has the monopoly of Europe, and will begin Asian service next.
Europe is at least 10 years behind America, and they have not even had
their own Internet radio until now. SBN will have all of their
programming translated into the 40 European languages that exist in the
25 European countries thus eliminating the language barrier that is
present for any European that travels. www.satbn.com
Undiscovered Artists! premiered worldwide at South by Southwest (SXSW)
in March 2006. It is solely designed for the promotion and exposure of
unsigned and independent artists. Undiscovered Artists! is the only
promotional company of its kind that does not require the artist to
waive their right to royalty fees.
