Austin Technology Council Hires Carol Dwyer as Director of Business
Development

(PRWEB) May 15, 2006 -- Austin Technology Council (ATC), a member-driven
association focused on promoting the growth and success of Austin's
technology sector, today announced the hire of Carol Dwyer as Director
of Business Development. On Monday April 3rd, 2006 Dwyer assumed her
position at ATC and began the planning for recruiting and admitting new
member companies to ATC.

Dwyer's multi-faceted approach to her new position will include
developing and promoting ATC events and the management of the Central
Texas Mentoring Alliance (CTMA), which is a collaborative initiative
between the ATC, MIT Enterprise Forum, Rice Alliance and TiE which is
designed to help advise entrepreneurs with startup and growth issues.

In appointing Dwyer as director of business development, ATC president
Alisha Ring noted that the organization is now poised to build
significant distinction in the technology domain. "Austin Technology
Council is one of Austin's best at promoting tech companies and
providing them with a competitive advantage in the marketplace," Ring
said. "Carol brings unique market knowledge and experience to ATC, which
we expect to further differentiate and position us as the leader in
promoting Austin's technologies and companies and strengthen our
presence to tech community."

Dwyer comes to ATC from FERMATA, Inc., a nature tourism consulting firm,
where she acted as a marketing consultant, as well as director of
marketing and product development. Dwyer holds a holds a bachelor's
degree in marketing from Baylor University and a master's from Texas A&M
University.
