Magma(R) Design Automation Inc. (Nasdaq:LAVA), a provider of semiconductor design software, announced its expanding presence in India continued on Wednesday with the opening of its new office in Noida, and that the company plans expansion of its operations in Bangalore. These additions will enable Magma to take advantage of the availability of world-class engineering talent and provide additional support to its growing customer base in India.
"An increasing number of IC design and semiconductor companies are locating in Noida," said Magma President Roy E. Jewell. "To take advantage of this growth, Magma has opened a research and development center in Noida, and plans to double its R&D and applications engineering team in India over the next 12 to 18 months."
