.I.SV.EL. S.p.A., and its U.S. subsidiary Audio MPEG, Inc. and Creative Technology announce that SISVEL and Audio MPEG have granted to Creative a standard license under the MP3 and MPEG2 audio compression patents owned by France Telecom, TDF S.A., U.S. Philips Corporation, Koninklijke Philips Electronics N.V., Institut fur Rundfunktechnik GmbH, and Bayerische Rundfunkwerbung GmbH. Since Creative Technology and its subsidiaries have taken a patent license from SISVEL and Audio MPEG the parties have agreed to dismiss the litigation and administrative proceedings pending between them. By taking a license Creative Technology has joined over 600 other companies that have taken patent licenses from Audio MPEG and SISVEL on these patents for MP3 players or other products using MPEG audio compression.
