Songwriter Writes First Ever Pandemic Preparedness Music CD; Music Proceeds Donated to Aid Online Community Members

(PRWEB) April 6, 2006 -- Songwriter, producer, Cornelius "Popcorn" Robertson has assembled a collection of 14 songs plus a "bonus live" track to help raise funds for AvianFluTalk.com. This fore thinking web based discussion forum is engaged in the noble effort to help others less fortunate to purchase food and supplies ahead of the looming threat of the next Bird Flu influenza pandemic. The album is titled "Unmasked", The Flu Collection.

"It's a mix of songs for all you preppers out there that need to unwind after a long day of bad news, cynicism and stockpiling," says Popcorn, "There's a little something for everyone. Genres run from pop to light rock, pop, ballads, light jazz, country pop/rock/blues, etc. I hope this music inspires, makes preparing for the task at hand a little easier and comforts during the H5N1 plague to come."

"I was thinking of how I could help www.AvianFluTalk.com [Avianflutalk.com's] cause in a way that is within the scope of my abilities," Popcorn continues. Each downloadable song is $1 or $10 to download the whole collection of 14 songs. Those who want the entire collection of "Unmasked" will also get an additional bonus track, "Funny Farm." The song "Funny Farm gives listeners a rare peak into songwriting from its raw, uncut inception.

Links for music samples and lyrics are currently available at http://www.songwritersfestival.com/storefront/products.php?cat=29

Or music fans can go to www.SongWritersFestival.com and use the "Store" link in the top home page navigation bar to listen to the CD.

"Fifty percent of gross revenues of music download sales will go directly to AvianFluTalk.com's discussion forum website. The Administration of the site will get duplicate emails when orders are placed at the point of sale to ensure transparency. The lions share goes to AvianFluTalk to disburse among its less fortunate members as it sees fit.

"I've been following the spread of Avian Flu and preparing for over a year now and I'm serious about getting the word out to others. This is something I am doing personally. It is the best I can do to help other flu heads and one way I can show my support for a forum that doesn't just talk the talk, but walks the walk," said the Songwriter.
