With this enhancement, all potentially sensitive data and images can be encrypted automatically to protect from unauthorized access. DocuTran employs 128, 196, or 256-bit AES encryption, providing both fast and secure access to data and images.

The encryption capability is included as a standard feature in DocuTran. "With the speed of current computers, the encryption and decryption is invisible to the user. All U.S. and Canadian DocuTran customers with a maintenance agreement now have access to this feature, with the right to upgrade their licenses free of charge."
The encryption feature is implemented in a seamless fashion, with encryption and decryption performed automatically. Additional options are available to manage encryption keys or derive them from another source, such as a corporate key bank. In such implementations, encryption keys may automatically be changed as often as daily to protect against compromised keys.
Export of this feature outside the United States is subject to U.S. Government regulations.
