Payroll Check Tutorial for Students

(PRWEB) April 27, 2006 -- "I did not have a good tool to teach the ins and outs of a paycheck when I taught Introduction to Business" said Charles J Read, President of Custom Payroll Associates, Inc. the parent of PayrollonaBudget.com. "I taught as a volunteer at Lake Dallas High School teaching Introduction to Business for four years. I was always looking for better tools. The banks do a great job with kits for checking accounts but I couldn't find a comparable tool for paychecks. So I created one." Lorinda Holland and Monica Blaylock along with other educators helped create the site specifically for students to use.

The tutorial takes a student through all of the steps of income, deductions and taxes that go into a paycheck. The tutorial lets the student do numerous what ifs, change the rate, hours and deductions or go from desired netpay back to number of hours required to be worked to achieve that netpay.

This is PayrollonaBudget.com's first free educational program and they are looking to do other business-related pages for educators. "I do it for the same reason I taught, to give back a little of what I have received." Says Mr. Read. "Though I expect my high school teachers would be amazed that I am on the other side of the desk."

"The site is free to anyone who wants to use it." According to Mr. Read, "Every high school business teacher should feel free to place a link on their web site for their students to access the tutorial." Mr. Read is also inviting suggestions for additional tutorials or enhancements to this one.

The tutorial is available at http://www.PayrollonaBudget.com website's home page.
