fiftyRX3 Launches ""Green Light Specials"" in Partnership with Eco Retailers to Celebrate Earth Day

New York, NY (PRWEB) April 21, 2006 -- fiftyRX3 (http://fiftyrx3.com) will be partnering with some of the best sustainable lifestyle retailers to offer it's readers "Green Light Specials". This latest feature on the fiftyRX3 site will commence this Friday, April 21st, in honor of Earth Day. The specials will include offerings from the latest in organic clothing and beauty products to beautifully crafted, sustainable items for the home.

fiftyRX3 is a blog that grew from the personal project of Jill Danyelle. The project attempts a fifty percent sustainable wardrobe without sacrificing style for the year 2006. Along with monthly recycled clothing projects, Jill takes a picture of what she wears daily and discusses it based on the reuse-reduce-recycle mantra of the environmental movement. In addition to coverage of NYC's green scene, fiftyRX3 also features monthly showcases of designers, stores and people working to make sustainability a reality. Jill recently filmed a segment for treehuggertv (http://www.treehuggertv.com/sustainable_style.php) where she toured the boutiques of Manhattan highlighting examples of sustainable style.

The mission of fiftyRX3 is to demystify eco-fashion and shatter the notion that we need to sacrifice our individuality and style for sustainability. Through opening an online dialogue about what we wear and how it is made, the site hopes to raise awareness in the fashion industry that will lead to an increase in better designed choices for the conscientious consumer.

The premise of the site is not about being perfect, but about becoming educated consumers. It is about promoting sustainable production and personal style, but also learning together with the readers what sustainability means. fiftyRX3 has recently started "Eco Fabrics 101", which will be a continuing series of posts exploring the content label. Attempting to live sustainably is a process and Jill Danyelle (http://danyelle.org) shares not only her eco progress, but her trials and tribulations as well in her "Flawed Human Confessionals".

So, log on for some "Green Light Specials" and to see how this member of the sustainable style tribe walks the line between Seventh Avenue and Seventh Generation while promoting the best of this emerging movement.
