Stirton Productions Completes Work On New Sci-Fi / Horror Movie, The Planet

Aberdeen, Scotland (PRWEB) April 21, 2006 -- Stirton Productions are pleased to announce the completion of their latest movie ‘The Planet,' written and directed by Mark Stirton.

The Planet, which stars Mike Mitchell (2005/6 WFF Mr. Universe) and Aberdeen comedian and presenter Patrick Wight, concerns a group of shipwrecked mercenaries and their struggle for survival on an alien world.

Director, Mark Stirton writes. "This production has taken 2 years of intensive work and we would like to thank the numerous people who have made this possible, In particular Michael Clark and Kerwin Robertson, the producers, who have been with the project since the very beginning. Many thanks must also go to Mike Mitchell (who plays Captain Morgan in the film) for his continued support, as well as Patrick Wight and Scott Ironside.

"We are looking forward to releasing the finished film and are extremely proud of the work that we have accomplished; we consider this to be the most ambitious science fiction film ever produced in Scotland. The final production is a feature length movie with over 300 visual effects and is testament to what can be achieved with even a small crew.

"We would also like to thank the various people who have contacted us over the last 2 years to offer support and advice. It is very much appreciated and we now look forward to sharing the film with you."
