New Delhi ~ July 5, 2001

About 62.45 per cent out of 61.61 crore total electors in the country have so far been issued photo identity cards as communicated by the Election Commission.

Of the total photo identity cards issued to voters 66.28 per cent voters have been issued photo identity cards in Andhra Pradesh followed by 59.98 per cent such cards in Arunachal Pradesh.

nil in Mozoram

86.59 per cent in Lakhsadeep
and 84.33 per cent in Pondicherry.
