UMA BHARTI CONGRATULATES KUNJARANI

New Delhi ~ July 13, 2001

Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Sushree Uma Bharti congratulated weightlifter Kunjarani on her gold medal winning performance in 14th Asian Senior Women's Weightlifting Championship. Kunjarani won gold medal in 48- kilo category in the championship at Jeonju Korea. Kunjarani was denied place in the team for the championship on some circumstances. But after intervention of Sushree Uma Bharti weightlifter Kunjarani had got permission to participate in the championship. In a special message to Kunjarani You would continue to do well in forthcoming Afro-Asian Games and in Asian Games 2002 Sushree Uma Bharti said.
