PARTIAL LUNAR ECLIPSE ON THURSDAY; TO BE VISIBLE IN INDIA

New Delhi ~ July 2, 2001

A partial eclipse of the moon will occur on Thursday (the 5th of this month). The beginning of the partial phase of the eclipse will be visible from most parts of India except Northern and Western regions. The ending of the partial phase of the eclipse will be visible from all over the country. The eclipse will also be visible over Antarctica, New Zealand, Australia, Eastern and Central Asia, Eastern Africa, Mawaiian Islands and Central Pacific Ocean. The eclipse begins at 19.05 hrs and end at 21.45 hrs. The total duration of the eclipse is 2 hrs and 40 mts.
