CBDT NOTIFIES NEW TAX RETURN FORMS

The Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) has notified new return forms SARAL ITS-2 and SARAL ITS-3 vide notification nos. S.O. 633(E) and 634(E) on 2nd July 2001. SARAL ITS-2 is applicable for non-corporate assesses not claiming exemption u/s II and having income from business or profession. SARAL ITS-3 is applicable for non-corporate assesses not claiming exemption u/s II and not having income from business or profession. These are available on the web site of Finance Ministry (http://finmin.nic.in) in Department of Revenue in Central Board of Direct Taxes under the icon 'Tax Return Forms for the year 2001-02' which can be download by the taxpayers.
