INDIA TO HOST SUPERCOMM ASIA-2002
New Delhi ~ June 08 2001
India will be hosting "Supercomm Asia-2002" in New Delhi between February 20-22 next year. It would be the biggest telecom event in the region which will showcase the latest technological innovations apart from educational sessions key-note presentations panel discussions and interaction between leading manufacturers and service providers from around the world. The Minister of Communications Shri Ram Vilas Paswan who is leading a high-level delegation to the United States has already held a meeting with the management of the Telecom Industries' Association(TIA) of USA to work out the detailed modalities of Supercomm Asia 2002.
During the meeting it was felt that the impact of opening of India's telecom sector would encourage major companies to participate in this event. Shri Paswan who delivered a special address at the Supercomm 2001 at Atlanta interacted with a number of exhibitors who have put up their stalls
in Supercomm 2001. A large number of exhibitors had shown interest to participate in Supercomm Asia 2002.
