Wipro Technologies Launches Integrated Publishing Platform (IPP)

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

Wipro Technologies, the global IT services division of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) today announced the launch of the Integrated Publishing Platform (IPP) to address the Media, Publishing and Information Services markets.

IPP is a unique solution to build an integrated supply chain across the content value chain. IPP will also help Publishing and Information Services companies to significantly reduce "time-to-publish" across creation, management and distribution functions in their organization.

Centered around Wipro's workflow framework, Flow-briX, and leveraging MarkLogic Server, the industry's leading XML content server, IPP will foster enhanced collaboration and agility across processes, products, tools and people in the Publishing life cycle. While Flow-briX streamlines the multi-channel production and content driven workflows, MarkLogic adds a unique combination of XML-centric content management and intelligent content delivery capabilities. This unique synergy translates into a seamless and unified content supply chain while multiplying return on content.

Manoj Punja, Senior Vice President, Wipro Technologies said "There are a host of products which are used across various functions of the content life cycle in a Publishing organization. IPP will provide a unified integration platform between discrete systems in the Publishing ecosystem and thereby helps publishers significantly reduce production costs and speed time-to-market. This solution can leverage the unique and complementary synergies of Flow-briX and MarkLogic and deliver great value to our customers."

Wipro has a dedicated Media, Publishing and Entertainment practice focusing on solutions spanning the content acquisition, Management and Distribution Value chain. The practice focuses on building specific point solutions and innovations around the content supply chain for leading customers in this space. The practice also leverages technology, IT infrastructure and business process outsourcing practices within Wipro to deliver an integrated service proposition.
