Egyptian Government and Business Delegation visits Convergys' Hyderabad Facility

Cincinnati, United States and Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh, India

Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), a global leader in providing customer care, human resources and billing services, announced today that a high profile delegation of 33 government officials and business representatives recently visited its state-of-the-art software development campus in Hyderabad's HITEC City.

The delegation, representing the IT industry in Egypt, was led by Dr. Tarek Kamel, Egypt's Minister of Communication & Information Technology, and also included Dr. Mohamed Higazy, Egypt's Ambassador to India.

Paresh Shah, General Manager of Convergys' Information Management operations in India, said, "I was very pleased to act as host during the Egyptian delegation's visit and to give an overview presentation of Convergys operations in Hyderabad. It was a great honor to receive both Minister Kamel and Ambassador Higazy to Convergys' advanced software development campus."

The delegates visited Hyderabad to gain a better understanding of India's success story in software services and foster cooperation between the business communities of India and Egypt. Toward that end, the National Association of Software and Services Companies (NASSCOM), India's leading IT trade association, arranged a business roundtable meeting and the tour of Convergys facilities, followed by a reception for the visiting delegation.

The unique Hyderabad IT campus is one of eight Convergys facilities in India. Convergys currently operates seven of the largest, multi-client, US-company-owned, contact centers in cities across India including New Delhi, Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Pune, and Bengalooru (formerly Bangalore). Employees at these contact centers provide technical help desk services along with customer support for Fortune 1000 companies in financial services, communications, consumer products, and other industries. Including the Hyderabad campus, Convergys has more than 11,000 employees in India.
