Viswam Sports Network, a sports startup has launched Indian Premier Cricket League. The league is a Twenty20 cricket league with city-based teams playing during weekends in a regular season every year. It is patterned after the leagues like NBA, NFL in USA.

The first season of premier cricket league (PCL) starts in January 2008. There are 6 teams from south playing in the southern division and 6 teams from north playing in the northern division. The teams play in either their home field or at the opponents home field. The southern cities include Hyderabad, Vishakapatnam, Bangalore, Chennai and Cochin. The northern cities include Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkota, Pune and Chandigarh. Both, Hyderabad and Mumbai have two teams playing in the league.
