New Delhi (India), August 9th, 2007 - NETGEAR Technologies India Pvt. Ltd., a worldwide provider of technologically advanced, branded networking products, today announced the availability of NETGEAR ReadyNAS RNR4450 100EUS 1100 - a 2TB DUAL GIGABIT RACKMOUNT NETWORK STORAGE (4X500GB) Box.

Netgear ReadyNAS RNR4450 is an easy to use SAN box that is ideal for Departments, Workgroups and Branch Offices. In order to make it easy to manage and operate, Netgear ReadyNAS RNR4450 comes with embedded Linux operating system and it does not require any additional software to install or per-user licensing requirements.

ReadyNAS RNR4450 comes with 4 Hot Swappable 500GB HDD in a ultra-short 12 inch 1U rack mount design in which HDD are initialized and system is pre-configured in RAID 5 mode for immediate use.

ReadyNAS RNR4450 has Automated RAID Management with Volume Expansion, which Scales easily from 1-4 disks and beyond. It has Dual Gigabit Ethernet Interface with native support for Windows, Macintosh and Linux/Unix Clients (CIFS/SMB, AFP, NFS) as well as FTP and HTTP support with built-in system monitoring with SNMP and email alerts. It has Web browser interface and setup wizard to get the NAS configured quickly with intelligent monitoring of battery backup devices and fully Journaled file system.

RNR4450 has advanced system design with customized ReadyNas microprocessor, which offers high performance with low power consumption. It delivers a typical 75 Watt Power Consumption with 4x750 GB Drives (A 20 AMP Rack=30 1100's or 90 Terabytes of Storage!).

Some of the other features of RNR4450, which makes the products distinct from the competition, is that it includes a IT1004 Network Storage Processor with 4 Serial ATA channels. It is compatible with SATA and SATA-II HDD. It has a dual 10/100/1000 Ethernet with 3 USB 2.0 ports and has 512 MB PC2700 DDR-SDRAM SO-DIMM. The product is embedded with 64 MB Flash Memory for OS. RD4450 has network file services and network security which secures the socket layer (SSL). The product is enhanced with a special system management with Email alerts, SNMP, RAIDar discovery and monitoring agent and is USB Device Supported.

The product can be operated in different language: English, Japanese, Chinese, and German and the file name is Unicode. RNR4450 works in an operational environment ranging from 0° C-40° C and the humidity level ranging from 20-80%(non-condensing).
