Idea Cellular Limited today announced its unaudited results for the 4th quarter and for the full year ended March 31, 2007.
Idea Cellular ended the year with a subscriber base of 14.01 mn, augmented by 90.2 % over the previous year end, and reflecting an improvement in national market share from 7.65% to 8.63%. During the 3rd quarter of the fiscal year, Idea launched its service in the Circles of UP East, Rajasthan, and Himachal Pradesh.
Quarterly Performance
The consolidated revenues for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 of Rs. 13,411 mn grew by 54.9%, and EBITDA of Rs. 4,690 mn is up by 42.3% on a year on year basis. The cash profit from operations of Rs. 3,696 mn rose by 49.1% over the corresponding quarter last year. The net profit for the quarter ended March 31, 2007 was Rs. 1,934 mn, a growth of 65.6% over the same quarter last year.
Annual Performance
The consolidated revenues & EBITDA for the full year ended March 31, 2007 were Rs. 44,129 mn and Rs. 15,102 mn, over 47.6% & 38.3% respectively, vis-a-vis the previous year. The cash profit for the full year ended March 31, 2007 was 11,751 mn representing 54.4% raise. The net profit for the full year ended March 31, 2007 was Rs. 5,033 mn, an increase of 137.7% over the previous year.
