Initiative Marks a New Milestone in Electronic Design Education in India

HYDERABAD, India - April 24, 2006 - Cadence Design Systems (I) Pvt. Ltd, the Indian arm of Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), partnering with Time to Market, Inc (TTM), a provider of IC design services and training, and University of California, Santa Cruz, Extension (UCSC Extension), USA, today launched the Cadence-TTM-UCSC Extension Finishing School Program (FSP). A first-of-its-kind initiative in India, the FSP is an advanced learning program in VLSI and electronic design for new graduates and industry professionals. It is intended to create a design-aware talent pool, thus addressing the growing need for skilled professionals in electronic design in India. This joint initiative aims to accelerate the time to ramp for new graduates, as well as teach design engineers the latest in design technology.

The Finishing School Program is unique in its modular structure, with a focus on design and domain knowledge, and encompassing project management and soft skills.

Time to Market, Inc., the training partner, will initially launch the program in Hyderabad and Bangalore, and plans to extend it to other cities in the future.
