TechTarget India and the Indian Express Group Announce Strategic Partnership to Launch Highly-Targeted IT Media for Indian Market

Needham, Massachusetts, United States and Maharashtra, India

Information-technology (IT) media company TechTarget and leading Indian business publisher The Indian Express Group announced the formation of a strategic partnership to expand TechTarget's highly-targeted approach to technology media into India. Working together toward this common goal, the two companies will combine their strengths and market knowledge to create powerful, targeted media vehicles to address the specific needs of IT decision makers and IT vendors in the Indian market.

Beginning in Q1 2007, the Indian Express Group will publish local editions of TechTarget's quarterly print media -- Storage, Information Security and CIO Decisions magazines -- featuring content addressing local, regional and global IT topics. The Indian Express Group and TechTarget will also launch an India-based Website in 2007, the first in a proposed network of niche Web sites targeting specific communities of Indian IT professionals. The Web site will provide original news and features, expert advice, and other information in the form of white papers, industry analysis, market studies and product knowledge required by India's IT professionals to conduct pre-purchase research, develop their technical expertise, and address IT challenges in the enterprise. Modeled after TechTarget's proven online and integrated media programs the Website will offer ROI-based advertising, providing the Indian Express Group media with a distinct competitive advantage in attracting technology marketers seeking to reach key IT decision makers. Additionally, TechTarget will work with the Indian Express Group to produce local conferences and events to support the information needs of India's burgeoning IT community.

"The Indian Express Group is the ideal partner with which to enter the Indian market, and it is our goal to transfer TechTarget's proven model - addressing specific IT market segments while meeting the information needs of IT decisions-makers and marketing needs of IT vendors-- into the Indian media market," said TechTarget CEO Greg Strakosch. "Combining TechTarget's strength in providing targeted, ROI-focused IT editorial and advertising vehicles with Indian Express Group's established audience of Indian business and IT professionals, in-depth knowledge of the Indian IT market, and solid relationships with global technology vendors, makes this an ideal business partnership in the region."

"To partner with TechTarget, a true innovator in delivering highly-targeted technical information to IT decision makers, represents a major milestone for the Indian Express Group and for the Indian business and IT communications industry as a whole," said Sandeep Khosla, Head of Business Publications for the Indian Express Group. "As a result of this relationship, particularly the launch of a Website serving the information requirements of India's IT Community, and the presence of a new online, ROI-based advertising model, the Indian Express Group will continue its pioneering role in defining the future of B2B communications in India."

The agreement with the Indian Express Group marks TechTarget's fifth global partnership agreement signed in 2006, and includes partnerships with Westwick-Farrow (Australia); Vogel (Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Poland, Czech Republic Hungary, Russia); Reed Business Information (UK); and Netremedia (ASEAN).

Other TechTarget global partnerships include Saga Technologies (Bulgaria); China Byte (China); Agepe (Italy); New Era (Taiwan); Softbank (Japan); InfoThe (South Korea); and Kunzer (Spain).
