Wipro Technologies, the global IT services business of Wipro Limited (NYSE:WIT) today announced that its division, Wipro BPO has been judged the 'Company of the Year' at the inaugural Indiatimes BPO awards. The award was presented to Mr. Devashish Ghosh, COO, Wipro BPO Solutions, by Mr.Yogesh Verma, CEO, DLF Universal.
Wipro BPO was chosen for this award based on sustained organizational performance, market leadership, profitability and revenue growth.
The award was instituted by Indiatimes Mindscape, a division of Bennett and Coleman, the publishers of 'Times of India', India's largest circulated newspaper, as an endeavor to reward professionals and organizations for excellence and outstanding achievement in the field of Outsourcing. The jury included personalities such as Mr. Pradeep Gupta, Chairman & Managing Director, Cybermedia, Mr. Ashish Dhawan, Sr. Managing Director, Chryscapital and Mr. Rajrishi Singhal, Executive Editor, The Economic Times.
