Microsoft and Appin Knowledge Solutions, technology leaders in Information Security and Ethical Hacking today launched Bug Bash 2006, India's first and biggest ever online competition on information security.
The event will see a large number of college students, with emphasis on students with interest in technology and especially Security in India fight it out in an online competition to qualify for the final round, where they get to work at Microsoft premises in Gurgaon and compete.

The contest comprises of a preliminary quiz round, which will be open till 1st July. The qualifying students will work at Microsoft premises (Gurgaon, India) between 7th July and 15th July, getting a technical preview of Vista and competing in the testing and debugging competition for the same.
Appin Knowledge Solutions, creators of world-renowned training software for Information security and ethical hacking, is conducting the event on behalf of Microsoft. Appin will also be releasing its new and enhanced version of training software with the onset of the event.
Apart from getting a preview of the latest Operating System from Microsoft, the largest software company in the world, the qualifying students would also compete for various prizes on offer and Microsoft Certificates.
