A pioneer in India for social networking solutions, NetAlter Software Limited has revealed that; it has recently received the Intimation letter of grant from the Indian Patent Office for its NetAlter System. (Patent Application number: 1279/MUM/2004)

The company has also filed a patent application in U.S.A. and in 124 other countries via PCT.

The International bureau of WIPO Switzerland has published their patent on 8th of June 2006 and the same can be searched (Publication number WO/2006/059343) downloaded from their website, http://www.wipo.int/pctdb/en/

Based on the Information Communication and Computation (ICC) framework, the NetAlter System aims to provide an alternative to the existing Internet framework as well as offer technology that will enhance existing online and offline applications.

NetAlter Software Limited aims to spearhead innovations for the 21st century by developing information and computing solutions based on the NetAlter System and also license its technology to other developers; for developing their own solutions for NetAlter or other external applications.

At present, NetAlter Software Limited is an unlisted company with much of its investments sourced privately. However, the company has plans of sourcing funds through external private placement of equity and a mid 2007 IPO offering.
