Anand, Gujarat, India

After launching India's first Sports and Fitness Drink, Stamina Lime, Amul has now launched Stamina Orange. The new Stamina Orange contains pulp from the best oranges available across the world, along with the goodness of milk nutrients.

In an effort to harness the untapped sports & fitness drink market in India, Amul, pioneered the introduction of a nutritious health beverage and instant energy drink based on milk nutrients, that can be used by all - Stamina - two months back. Brands of 'Sports Drinks' in market often contain only Water, electrolytes & flavor, but Stamina is based on the goodness of milk nutrients in pre-digested form.

The refreshing flavor of the new Stamina Orange helps people of all age groups in drinking adequate quantities of this essential sports drink. Drinking Stamina puts backs the fluids in the body, specially in sportspersons. Carbohydrates in Stamina - sucrose and glucose help provide energy in the body. Drinking fluids is critical for proper body functioning. Peak performance is ensured if a person is properly hydrated. Dehydration can be prevented by drinking Stamina before, during and after exercise.

Endorsed by Apollo Hospitals, it helps to control water osmosis between body compartments and maintains acid balance and pH in body cells for normal cellular activities. Besides, the whey proteins and glucose contents of the drink are useful in muscle building and improving body mass composition. The drink is targeted at health conscious young people who consider exercise and sports as an essential part of their routine.

Electrolytes like sodium, potassium and chloride lost by the body during sweating are restored. This unique refreshing drink helps quench the deep down thirst and keeping the body tuned. The carbohydrates, sucrose and glucose help provide energy. This energy booster prevents dehydration.

Stamina - is targeted at those people who like to lead a physically active life. This segment not only includes sports-persons and athletes, but also ordinary people who exercise daily and go for joggging, brisk walking, aerobics and gym.

Currently available in lemon and orange flavours only, it would eventually have more flavours in its kitty. Similarly, the product will, in the near future, sport innovative packages - a step further from the present 200 ml convenient tetra-pack priced at Rs. 12/-.

Amul has launched this product keeping in mind the entire beverage range based on the platform of taste, health and natural products. This range is in line with the growing awareness regarding health and preference for natural products among consumers.
