Amul Butter Now in an International Tub Pack for Airlines

Anand, Gujarat, India

Amul Butter, a household name for decades, will now be available in an Internationally designed tub pack.

With this Amul would be the first company to launch Butter in an International pack in the country thereby strengthening its leadership status in the category.

" Being the leaders in the category with almost 86 % market share we owe the consumers products and packs with innovation and thereby moving up the value chain. Intense research indicated that the consumers needed a portion pack which is hassle free, convenient to use and contains just the right quantity for a single serving " said Mr B M Vyas, Managing Director of Gujarat Co-operative Milk Marketing Federation, the marketing arm of Amul.

The blister pack is being packed in a State of Art Plant at Amul Dairy, Anand and carries the just right quantity of Butter need for a single serving ie 8-10 gms. Also this pack ought to be accepted amongst the starters as a low priced trial pack.

" With the boom in the aviation sector and the Railways taking up catering on a big scale, this pack fills the void in the single serving segment and provides convenience to the consumers which is increasingly becoming important in today's modern environment. This pack has been designed to ensure that there is absolutely no butter left out in the pack " says Mr R S Sodhi, Head of Marketing at GCMMF, Anand.

Amul plans to roll out this pack nationally this month.
