Apernit Singh was born in Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh and had his first brush with music by playing the harmonica. His parents encouraged him and got him a Guitar at the tender age of 7. Apernit has trained vocal skills in Hindustani classical music & learnt the guitar by "home schooling" himself. Apernit then moved to Bangalore, a place that nurtured an environment for him to grow and explore his potential. Chance made him meet his mentor Saket Jalan was with the undeniable presence of Siddharth Patwa motivated, coached and guided his musical career.

He has released his self titled debut album, "Apernit-India's Fastest Guitarist" on Crescendo Music. Apernit has worked with Bollywood Music Director Anand Raj Anand and Harry Anand as their personal Guitarist. Apernit has also composed the music for 2 award winning animated movies "Fly by Red Shoes" and "A Hunters tale".

Apernit has composed more than 50 jingles for major products and bagged many prestigious awards like The Best Vocalist & Best Guitarist at U-Rock in 2004 and 2005 respectively, The Best Guitarist at Campus Rock Idols - South Zone, The Best Vocalist and Band 2005 at IIM Bangalore.

His brand of performance is LIVE (not lip sync), energetic, electric and full of vitality and spirit.

The Album :

Apernit Singh's debute album - "Apernit- India's Fastest Guitarist" has 12 tracks written, sung and composed entirely by him. The music is contemporary Hindi Pop-Rock. The USP of the album is fresh and original tracks that have an electric feel to it. All the songs have a guitar-oriented approach.

The video for the first single "Dhoondo Kahan" is directed by John Wilmore. The video is simple but at the same time glamorous. The video stars models Vicky and Tanya (the fame of Raghav Sachar, Stan & Greg, Sanjay Maroos's Music Videos).
