Dr. Lalit S. Kanodia, Chairman, Datamatics Group felicitated with The Lifetime Achievement Award at Enterprise Scions 2006

Mumbai, December 8, 2006 - Datamatics Group Chairman, Dr. Lalit S. Kanodia, was today conferred the "Lifetime Achievement Award" at Enterprise Scions 2006 - Entrepreneurship Excellence Awards. He was conferred this honor at a glittering event held at the Taj Lands End, Mumbai attended by the chieftains of India's corporate world.

Dr. Kanodia is one of the Chief Architects of India's I.T. Industry. Dr. Kanodia became the founder CEO of Tata Consultancy Services in 1967 when the legendary J.R.D.Tata invited Dr. Kanodia to set up a software company in India for the TATA Group. He has been listed in the Dataquest "Hall of Fame" as one of the 10 persons, who have created the Indian IT industry along with Shri Rajeev Gandhi & Mr. J.R.D.Tata.

Dr. Kanodia founded the Datamatics Group in the year 1975. The group constitutes several companies including Datamatics Ltd - the software arm, Datamatics Technologies Ltd. - an end-to-end BPO services provider, Datamatics Staffing Services - an Executive recruitment arm and Datamatics Financial Software Services Ltd - a Registrar and Transfer agent & focuses on IPOs.

Datamatics Technologies became India's first non-voice third-party BPO service provider Company to list with shares traded on the Bombay Stock Exchange and the National Stock Exchange of India.

Other important dignitaries honored at this event were Mr. Niranjan Hiranandani, Ms. Ingrid Srinath, Mr. B. S. Nagesh, Dr. S. N. Natrajan, Mr. Neeraj Roy, Ms. Devita R. Saraf among others.
