Convergys Corporation (NYSE:CVG), a global leader in providing customer care, human resources and billing services, announced today the expansion of its software development campus in Hyderabad's HITECH City.
Convergys has taken an additional floor in the facility, bringing its total space to 200,000 square feet. Convergys has already moved 80 developers who specialize in learning courseware to work in the expanded facility in Hyderabad. Total employment at the advanced software development center now exceeds 1,200 as the learning development team joins the well-established billing software team at this common location.
"Since many companies require custom-developed learning content, Convergys courseware developers in Hyderabad and at other Convergys locations seamlessly support comprehensive curriculum design and development services for all mediums - including rapid e-learning, simulation, classroom and print," said Marianne Langlois, vice president of Professional Services - Learning, for Convergys Corporation. "They join other advanced development experts in Convergys' Hyderabad facility to create state-of-the-art business support systems software."

The unique Hyderabad IT campus is Convergys' eighth facility in India. Convergys currently operates seven of the largest, multi-client, US-company-owned, contact centers in cities across India including New Delhi, Mumbai (formerly Bombay), Pune, and Bengalooru (formerly Bangalore). Employees at these contact centers provide technical help desk services along with customer support for Fortune 1000 companies in financial services, communications, consumer products, and other industries. Including the Hyderabad campus, Convergys has more than 10,000 employees in India.
