TWB Announces that 125 Leading Software Companies Recruit from TWB's Technical Writing Programs

Bangalore, Karnataka, India

The Writers Block (TWB) today announced that within 12 months of starting operations it has achieved an important milestone of exceeding 125 leading software companies recruiting from its training programs. All these companies participate in the TWB 'On-Campus' program that allows them to hire the best technical writing talent in India. TWB is India's leading provider of technical documentation outsourcing and training services and runs the widely accepted TWB Fundamental and TWB Associate certifications programs.

The acceptance of these certifications in the industry can be gauged by the number of recruiting companies participating in the TWB On-Campus hiring process, including leading MNCs and Indian software majors. Over 200 students have been certified by TWB and have been placed in leading IT majors with salaries ranging from 2.5 lacs pa to 6 lacs pa. One such TWB trainee Ms Preeth Nazereth says, "For me it was a great learning experience at TWB. I sincerely believe that TWB has the best technical writing training available in the country and the best placement process". Preeth was placed through the TWB On-Campus placement program with Lucent Technologies as an Information Developer.

TWB was set up to address the dire need in the software industry for high quality trained technical writing manpower. In most developed software markets approximately 5% to 7% of the technical workforce is committed to technical documentation, whereas in India the technical documentation workforce is estimated to be only 0.1% of the workforce. This represents a latent need of approximately 100,000 trained personnel in India over the next few years. TWB is addressing this requirement both by creating trained manpower and by providing documentation outsourcing services.

Commenting on the TWB training and placement process Mr. Ravi Kiran, Knowledge Manager and hiring lead for world's 3rd largest software company says "We have managed to hire very high potential candidates from TWB. I wish to put to record the great experience of TWB's placement process. TWB's Certification programs are outstanding." Ravi further says, "Within a short time of having candidates onboard I noticed that the knowledge and guidance provided to them enabled them to work to our high expectations. Quite simply TWB's training methodology is the best!"

Ms Helen Shukla, founder Director of TWB and a technical documentation professional with over 18 years of industry experience says "I have personally experienced the difficulties in hiring good talent while leading teams with my previous employers such as SAP and ANZ-IT. While companies in the US can hire University Graduates with Professional Writing degrees, no such education exists in India. TWB fills this gap for IT- companies based in India."
