The media had reports on December 20, 2006 that Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. may tie up with a US Based strategic partner for its bio-disel plant and form a separate company called Ruchi Soya Bio-diesel
The Exchange, in order to verify the accuracy or otherwise of the information reported in the media and to inform the market place so that the interest of the investors is safeguarded, had written to the officials of the company.
Ruchi Soya Industries Ltd. has vide its letter inter-alia stated, "We wish to inform you that the Company has always been exploring various growth opportunities in the fields related to its business. However, the Company has not entered into any Strategic Partnership / Alliance for bio-diesel."
