Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Ltd. (APIL), flagship Company of the Ansal API Group and a leading real estate developer in India, announced here today a vastly improved financial performance during the first quarter ending June 30, 2006 of the current financial year '06-07 on a stand alone basis.
The Total Income for Q1 'FY 06-07 stood at a healthy Rs. 16120 lakhs, as compared to Rs 8614 lakhs for Q1 FY '05-06, recording an increase of 87 %. Net profit, after tax at Rs.2822 lakhs was higher by 169% over the net profit of Rs 1048 lakhs posted during the same period last year.
EPS (Earning Per Share) has increased from Rs. 2.99 to Rs. 8.06, thus showing a jump of 169% Q1 2006-07 on Q1 2005-06 YOY.
After the board meeting here today wherein the first quarter financial results were taken on record, Mr. Sushil Ansal, Chairman, Ansal API group said, "The robust growth in this quarter is an indicator that we have carried forward the excellent results posted in the FY '05-06. We are looking at a consistent, healthy growth throughout this financial year as well."
The Sushil Ansal group has recently launched the new brand identity - Ansal API, to reflect the group's strength and solidity. The brand name, Ansal API and the new logo is now being used by the flagship company, Ansal Properties & Infrastructure Ltd. and all its group companies including Ansal Townships & Projects Ltd.
APIL has recently announced the amalgamation of Ansal Township & Projects Ltd. (ATPL), with itself. ATPL focuses on township development in Punjab and Rajasthan. The total land bank of the merged company (APIL plus ATPL, in Joint Venture & with Collaborators) including secured lands is over 5000 acres. APIL by itself is estimated to possess a substantial Land Bank. The proposed amalgamation with ATPL shall further improve the Land Bank. APIL has constructed approx. 26 Million Square feet of property in the last four decades.
