No proposal to merge MTNL and BSNL

There is no proposal of the Government to merge Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited. This was stated by the Minister of State for Communications and Information Technology, Dr. Shakeel Ahmad in a written reply to a question by Shri Shri Janardhana Poojary in the Rajya Sabha today.
