New Delhi: January 19, 2004 19:00 IST

The Defence Minister of the Russian Federation Mr. Sergey Borisovich Ivanov arrived in the capital this evening. The Russian Defence Minister is slated to hold delegation level talks with Defence Minister Mr George Fernandes tomorrow. Mr Ivanov is leading a ten-member delegation and is here on a three-day visit.

The Defence Secretary and the three Service Chiefs will call on the Russian Defence Minister tomorrow. On the 21 Jan, Mr Ivanov will visit the Taj Mahal after which he will enplane for Moscow the same evening.
