Election Commission has rightly allowed poll-advertisements on electronic media. This can be the best- effective and clean method of poll-campaign while other ones like posters, rallies etc are dirty and disturbing public life! However poll-broadcasts on official media of All India Radio and Doordarshan reveal that political parties with negligible mass-base are equated wrongly in terms of time-allocation with parties having large mass-base. The aspect can and should be corrected by redefining �recognised� political parties in a manner that the country may have fewer national parties.

Political parties getting at least twenty-percent valid votes at national level may only be recognised as national parties. Likewise those getting twenty-percent valid votes on state-level may be recognised as state-level parties. However considering dominated role of alliances in present era of co-alition politics, �national alliances� may also be recognised for those parties which sign to contest elections with their own symbols but under common platform of �national alliance�!

System will check hazardous trend of a large number of political parties emerging mainly due to selfish interests of over-ambitious Indian politicians.
