Chandni Chowk Festival is indeed a nice concept to revive live the memories of golden old days of world-renowned Chandni Chowk of Delhi. It was heartening to note a curious crowd to witness fourth such festival on 25.05.2003. It was a well-managed show with colorful features and famous delicious dishes of Old Delhi.

Only thing lacked the show was closure of shops which is a must for any ancient bazaar. At least shops of all famous confectioners and some ancient-styled shops like of perfumers, which were highlighted in media-publicity, must have been ensured to keep open. Organizers in future such occasions should motivate shopkeepers to keep their shops open in a festive mood with special permission from Delhi Government. A competition for best decorated shops can be held to make the festival attractive for shoppers and shopkeepers.
