Rajya Sabha: Fastest train between Mumbai and Goa
New Delhi: May 8, 2003

The Ministry of Railways is considering introduction of a train between Mumbai and Goa at the maximum speed of 150 kilometre per hour.

Fencing has already been erected to all such loctions where cattle are likely to approach the track at the approximate cost of Rs. 2.2 crores.

This information was given by the Minister of State for Railways Shri Bandaru Dattatraya in a written reply to a question from Shri Lalit Suri in the Rajya Sabha today.
