Doctors makes their entry to Limca Book of Records
Hyderabad, May 17, 2003

With latest advancements in medicine and practices doctors are exhibiting exemplary performance in treatment and medical care. Here is a Gynaecological Endoscopic Surgeon who has a reason enough to be proud of as he has been featured in the Limca Book of Records 2003 on two accounts. The 2003 edition of Limca Book of Records was recently released into the market.

Dr. Rakesh Sinha and Dr. Neeta Warty Laparoscopically removed a fibroid weighing 3.4 kgs from the uterus of Noorjehan Marker(38). The patient had several fibroids of which the largest measured 20cms x 12 cms. These fibroids were removed through a minute hole of 5-10 mm.

Said to be a pioneer in India for Endoscopic and Laser surgeries for women Dr. Rakesh had set up an organisation called Bombay Endoscopy Academy and Centre for Minimally Investive Surgery (BEAMS). Today, it is claimed to be the only training center in the country imparting animated laboratory training to surgeons and gynecologists from India and abroad.

Dr. Rakesh Sinha has another feather in his cap to be happy. He has so far performed over 6000 endoscopies.

It is said that every year about 15 lakh women world over get the uterus removed.
